So, the world marched. The world protested and boycotted because, apparently, in the 21st century, double standards have been normalised and genocide is no longer an absolute crime — depending on who the perpetrators are — and therefore must still be spoken up against.

Over the past 2 years, the airbrushed, seemingly benign face of Zionist Israel crumbled and revealed to the uninitiated the true and brutal religio-ethno-supremacist ideology driving the apartheid occupation of Palestine and the genocide in Gaza. Such was the depth of global outrage, and such the unrelenting erosion of credibility among “democratic” states dancing on the head of a pin, unable to condemn an ally’s genocide, that they were compelled to accept the token recognition of a Palestinian State to quell the anti-genocide backlash, amid a performative ceasefire declared in Gaza.

Did you know, and scarcely reported in any meaningful way by Western legacy media channels, that since this so-called US-brokered ceasefire that came into effect on 10 October 2025, Israel has violated it more than 1300 times and killed almost 500 people with little to no condemnation from allies and backers?

Did you know that the Gaza Health Ministry’s figure of 71,000 Gazans slaughtered by Israel since October 2023 has now been accepted as broadly accurate by the Israeli army after 2 years of denials, obfuscation, accusations of inflated numbers, and sustained gaslighting by the IDF and their backers? The same claims about overblown fatality numbers followed past IDF aggressions in Gaza in 2009, 2012 and 2014, only to be later accepted as accurate. As a leopard cannot change its spots, we are under no illusions about what Zionism is, what it reaps, and what it will sow.

The 29th of January 2026 marked the 2nd anniversary of the most barbaric slaying of a five year old child in modern history. Hind Rajab and her family were murdered by Israeli tank fire that riddled their vehicle with 335 bullet holes. The harrowing recording of Hind’s pleas for help, which will forever haunt the consciences of those who uphold decency and humanity, resonated loudly across the world. The same social media platforms are now desperately scrubbing records of Israeli atrocities in Gaza from their archives, constructing an artificial, sanitized image of a state that has never truly existed.

We are reminded of the encounter between Prophet Musa (Moses) and Pharaoh, along with his magicians, as recounted in the Qur’an. Pharaoh controlled all organs of state, including the media of his time, shaping a sanitized image of himself and propagandizing the people into absolute submission to his will. But Musa shattered Pharaoh’s carefully constructed illusion and exposed the falsehood behind the sanitized image of divinity. Our modern equivalents are verified footage, leaked audios and videos, recorded confessions, forensic evidence, eye-witness testimonies and transparent reporting — truths to genocide that cannot be denied or spun by propaganda. Most importantly, the conscientious, fearless, and indomitable reporters, investigative journalists, prosecutors, and jurists carry forward the fight against falsehood and oppression, ensuring that, no matter how powerful the machinery of propaganda, the reality of injustice cannot remain hidden forever.

And We made the people who had been oppressed and considered weak inherit the eastern and western parts of the land which We had blessed … and We destroyed whatever Pharaoh and his people were producing and what they had been building.
