Prayer Facilities

We offer five daily prayers and Jumu'ah (Friday prayers) in two congregations. Our facilities include separate wudu areas for brothers and sisters, a dedicated sisters' prayer hall, and accessibility provisions for the elderly and disabled.

Lewisham Islamic Institute (LII)

The LII provides Islamic education for all ages — from children's Quran and Tajweed classes to adult fiqh, Arabic language, and Seerah circles. We run weekday and weekend programmes, with dedicated teachers and a nurturing environment.

Funeral Fund

The LIC Funeral Fund ensures that every member of our community receives a dignified Islamic burial, regardless of their financial circumstances. This is one of the most important community welfare services we provide, and it is sustained entirely by community contributions.

Scouts & Cubs

Our Scouting programme is open to all young people in the borough. We nurture confidence, teamwork, service and leadership — grounded in good character and Islamic values. Weekly meetings, camps, and community service projects.

Finance & Fundraising

As a registered charity, the LIC operates with full financial transparency. Annual accounts are published with the Charity Commission. Our fundraising initiatives support the building, education, welfare programmes and the Funeral Fund.

Interfaith & Community Work

We actively participate in Lewisham's diverse civic life — through interfaith walks, food banks, local partnerships and open days. Our doors are open to all, and we believe in serving the whole borough, not just our own community.
